Monika Mäe is a cosmopolitan founder and creative director who has been fascinated by symbols since childhood. She shapes the visual language, product concepts, editorial themes and the feeling that connects every room of Mystic Rose World.

Media, enterprise and design

Before founding Mystic Rose, Monika served as Managing Director of PHD Estonia, part of Omnicom Media Group. She later moved into entrepreneurship and founded etno.ee, bringing traditional patterns into contemporary products. Today, that experience in media, brand strategy and design informs her work at Mystic Rose.

Her earlier work is documented by Best Marketing (2012) and Loov Eesti’s marketing seminar materials, which identify her as the head of etno.ee.

Her work moves between sacred geometry, contemporary art, intelligent objects and storytelling. A jewel may begin as a protective symbol; a calendar as a room for light; an article as a question that deserves both wonder and evidence.

Monika sets the creative direction and makes the final editorial decisions. AI tools can assist with research, writing and image-making; the contribution of OpenAI, Claude or Grok is named when its provenance can be verified.

Technology may help make the world visible. The intention, responsibility and final voice remain human.
