01 · The Geometry

Begin with
the form itself.

The Sri Yantra, or Sri Chakra, contains four upward-pointing and five downward-pointing triangles arranged around the bindu, the central point. Their precise intersections create a field traditionally described as forty-three smaller triangles.

The triangular core is surrounded by lotus-petal rings and a square enclosure with four openings. Authentic constructions are demanding: small shifts change the relationships throughout the diagram.

02 · History & Tradition

Keep the wonder.

The Sri Yantra belongs to Hindu Tantric tradition, especially Sri Vidya, and remains a living presence in worship and contemplation. Its beauty carries devotion, philosophy and ritual far beyond decoration.

Its meanings unfold differently across lineages. A drawing may open the first door; consecrated practice is learned with guidance from within the tradition.

03 · Meaning Today

A symbol becomes
a living mirror.

The meeting triangles are often understood through Shiva and Shakti — consciousness and creative power entering one another. The inward journey crosses layer after layer until multiplicity returns to the bindu.

Its wonder is concentration: an immense cosmology gathered into one exact, breathing point.
